By receiving IV nutritional therapies you receive the greatest benefit of vitamins and nutrients. You bypass the gut barrier and deliver the nutrients directly to your cells where they can be used to their utmost potential. IV nutritional therapies can be helpful for many conditions from the common cold or flu to supporting someone through chemotherapy or for treatment of chronic Lyme and detox from Mold. These are the therapies we offer at our clinic.
IV vitamin C
Vitamin C is an antioxidant helps to support your immune system to work better. By providing the cells with the fuel they need to enhance their fight against viruses, bacteria, cancer, and to support metabolic detoxification. Your body cannot make its own vitamin C and it needs to be obtained from diet. Only a limited amount of vitamin C can be absorbed through the gut lining. With IV vitamin C infusions your body can receive much higher doses of vitamin C with greater benefit.
Low dose IVC is supportive for conditions such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cancer related fatigue and side effects from chemotherapy, and for low grade chronic infections and inflammatory conditions such as autoimmune disease. High dose IV vitamin C provides a much higher dose than is used mainly as a supportive treatment for patients going through chemotherapy and radiation.
Glutathione
Called the “master antioxidant” in the body, glutathione has many functions, most importantly being detoxification of harmful chemicals that our bodies are constantly coming into contact with. Toxins cause cellular damage and glutathione is one of the main antioxidants which counteracts this stress at the cellular level. It has a role in many disease processes including cancer, type II diabetes, liver health, autoimmunity and immune support.
B-vitamins
There are various b-vitamins that are used in the metabolic processes of the cells for countless functions. Some of the main ones are energy and metabolism, repair of damaged DNA, healthy brain function, nerve function and optimization, red blood cell production, and detoxification. B-vitamins are found in abundance in many foods, but often those with chronic illness have a higher need based on their genetic background and individual health concerns. When you receive B-vitamins intravenously, they go straight to your cells and help them perform all the various functions needed for their optimal functioning.
Phosphatidylcholine
A fatty acid that is found in every cell lining of your body and essential for the proper function of the liver, the intestines, and the brain. It can be found naturally in your diet in foods like soy, nuts, seeds, egg yolks, and liver. It is the main component of our cell membranes which is made up of a double layer of fatty acids called phospholipids and is most present in young healthy cells. Over time as our body is exposed to more toxins, such as heavy metals, molds, and pesticides, which cause damage to our cell membranes. As a result, there is ineffective communication between cells and our mitochondria, the energy production centers of the cell, are not able to work as well to make us energy.
IV Phosphatidylcholine helps to restore the cell membrane so that your cells can communicate efficiently. It repairs the damage done by heavy metals and toxins and puts healthy fats into your liver and brain for use. It protects the brain from oxidative stress and supports neurotransmitter production and enhances cognitive function.
NAD
NAD stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Found in all living cells, NAD acts as a cellular energy source. Think of it as a battery for your cells. When it gets low you start to feel run down and tired all the time. When your NAD levels are where they need to be, you feel energized and refreshed and have the ability to do the things you want to do. NAD has been called an “anti-aging” molecule because it supports DNA repair, increases cellular energy production, and supports the regeneration of damaged tissues. Specifically helpful in neurodegenerative conditions and chronic fatigue, NAD can be depleted from chronic stress, addiction, and chronic inflammatory disorders. Essentially any condition which causes damage to the mitochondria and alters neurotransmitter production can benefit from NAD supplementation. No one symptom is suggestive of NAD deficiency, but it’s lack has been linked to several chronic illnesses. Many find NAD treatments can help restore their youthful vitality and strength when nothing else has helped. Unfortunately NAD is not absorbed well from the gut lining, and although you can take precursors, the fastest and most effective way for someone to raise their NAD levels is through IV infusion.
IV Chelation
Heavy metals are ubiquitous in our society, especially those that were heavily used in the industrial processing factories in the middle of the 20th century. These toxic chemicals can linger in our bodies for years causing health problems that we are not even aware of. Over time they wear away at our bodies abilities to function at their best. Usually later in life the accumulation of toxins can overwhelm our bodies ability to fight off infections, recover from injury, and find balance or homeostasis during times of stress. Testing for and removing heavy metals is a safe and effective method of removing toxic metals from our bodies and can be a piece of restoring lost vitality.
IV Ketamine
Originally discovered as an anesthetic, and widely used as one for many years, ketamine has become an important tool for mental health professionals and a great support for patients with chronic illness. Useful as a way of disconnecting from traumas of the past, when used in conjunction with psychotherapy, it can help unlock the repetitive behaviors from our past and help see things from a new perspective. With multiple studies showing benefit for ketamine from chronic pain to treatment resistant depression, IV ketamine must be administered in a safe setting where integration is possible, and where medical personnel are available. We combine our IV ketamine sessions with psychotherapy integration to maximize the benefit. You will be required to meet with a Psychiatrist and a psychotherapist as part of the treatment, and commit to at least 3 sessions.
